At first when I came into this school, I thought that everything would not be alright as none of my close friends came into this school with me. I was forced to attend this school by my father and I entered the school without knowing anything about this school except for that it uses a computer to teach us and they use applied learning for us to learn better. But entering into a school without anyone I know was a fresh start for me. I knew I had to speak up so that I would have friends. I finally break though my shyness barrier and talked to others.
The first few weeks taught us about team building and it emphasizes that leadership is important. Everyone in SST should be given a chance to lead. I learnt about the school’s 3Es ( Empowerment, Excellence, Expansion) and the vision (a globally connected institution of science and technology) of SST.
During the orientation camp, our class did not really bonded that much. It was like a bunch of strangers grouped together by the name of S1-09 but there was not much bond between us.Team work was very important in the camp as points are awarded if the team co-operated. Everyone had a role to play in the team. We should all work together to accomplish work faster and know our own weakness and strength to help out in the group. Don't do anything rash as it may affect the group.
Through the next weeks and months, when class has finally started, we all got to know each others names and bonded quite well over time. Learning became fun and enjoyable, though it took some adapting to change my style of learning.
I had always found that English was my strongest subject but I was terribly wrong. The marking scheme became stricter so did all the other subjects. I found out that I was not very good in my sciences, which I hope I will finally understand realize my mistakes and correct them. Finally the examinations came and so did the results. I was not very happy about my results and I vowed to improve in my studies in the next examination.
It was overall a very enjoyable experience and I hope that it would continue to be as positive as it has so far.

LEAP week Day 1
According to the LEAP week timetable for our class, Day 1 is suppose to be InE: InE workshop and InE learning journey to red dot museum. But there was a change of plans for me and 2 other persons. We had to go for a workshop on some video, news casting, hosting, reporting thing and we missed the whole day that was planned out for the class. They planned a trip for us to go to the red dot museum though (but it is with another class), but I don't think there is one for the InE workshop... But postponing the trip also means taking away another activity. This happens to be my ANIMATION course TwT. I don't think they planned for us to go to the course with another class* (look at MY MAIN POINT) I feel, I feel, I feel sad...
MY MAIN POINT: All this trips are CLASS trips. It means going with Your class, doing things with Your class and I can't participate with them. Going out with other classes makes no point. Including those that involves the class like the 2 courses I have missed.
ONE FACT ABOUT ME: I can't live without my friends and people that I know. I feel LONELY. I like lively groups, My groups.

Identify A Leader
I admire her because even the local hospitals rejected the people to die on the streets, she and a group of others rented a room and took them in to care for them. She helped the poor, sick, orphaned and the dying.
“The Missionaries of Charity” was established by her to love and care for those nobody was prepared to look after.

Camp Reflection
Overall the camp was fun, exciting and meaningful. I got to know my classmates a little bit better (a few names). Team work was very important in the camp as points are awarded if the team co-operated. Everyone has a role to play in the team. We should all work together to accomplish work faster and know our own weakness and strength to help out in the group. Don't do anything rash as it may affect the group.
I would choose to do the zip line if I had another chance to try all the activities again. The view from above was nice. It was scary to jump off the platform. But once you're off, the ride was fast and it was cooling as the wind was blowing into my face.
I would like to be a person who could think up ideas that can be beneficial to the group.

- Learning beyond the boundaries of the school compound and using different resources to learn.
2. Why is this value important and how will it help you in your learning experience in SST?
- It will make learning more interesting and enjoyable and more realistic instead of just books.
